One Sided Coloring Books are perfect for those who love to color with markers or take their pages out of the book to color. Many of these one-image-per-page books also have perforated pages. It’s technically NOT a one-sided book because in the bottom left corner of each page is a cat illustration that when you flip the pages works like a flip-book we baby-boomers will remember. The other side of the page features gorgeous images of the adventures of a bicycle and a cat as they roam through town and countrysides.

A favorite for new colorists are Jane Monk’s two books which not only have nice thick perforated pages printed on one side, but they also sport several pages at the beginning of the book with information on the color wheel, how to chose colors, how to blend, shadow and shade using different materials and all sorts of helpful tips for new colorists.

I ordered it as well and haven’t gotten started on it yet but it looks fantastic with dozens of styles to learn and step by step instructions for beginners.
Budget Friendly Creative Haven one-sided coloring books
One of the first books I bought was a Creative Haven book and all of those are one-sided. The paper isn’t super thick but works nicely with Prismacolors or Crayola Colored Pencils. Art markers will bleed through but we always recommend putting a piece of copy paper behind the image you are coloring not only to prevent bleed through but also to protect the next picture from indentations that might happen if you have a heavy hand when coloring like some of us do.
