This time of year brings us indoors which brings out the creative soul and artist in lots of us. I’ve wandered outside of coloring to painting, and crocheting and collage decor, so many fun things to do while you are staying warm and safe inside your home and in your yard which led our family to do some rock painting.

Rock Painting Supplies
The best paint to use on rocks is one that will last with weather, you can also seal them if you already have lots of acrylic paint sitting around the house that you’d like to use up.
We love using paint pens best. You can get the most detail and more vibrant colors and of course lots of them have glitter so that’s always a plus. It looks so pretty when they shimmer in the sun in your yard.
Acrylic Paint Pens
POSCA PENS
My favorite acrylic paint pens for all art projects are Posca Pens. They are the sort with paint in the barrel and come in different sized nibs and they need to be primed but work brilliantly on rocks and other hard surfaces as well as paper, canvas and fabric. This is a great variety pack but Blick’s also sells them individually and with assorted nib sizes.
