Since Anime Manga characters are typically black and white, this genre adapts to coloring books easily. There are even lines of markers & colored pencils that specifically include the traditional colors used in this stylistic form of art. Anime refers to the animation style that originated in Japan. It is characterized by distinctive characters and backgrounds (hand-drawn or computer-generated) that visually and thematically set it apart from other forms of animation. Storylines may include a variety of fictional or historical characters, events, and settings. Anime is aimed at a broad range of audiences and consequently, a given series may have aspects of a range of genres.
Manga is Japanese for “comics” or “whimsical images”. It was developed from a mixture of ukiyo-e and Western styles of drawing and took its current form shortly after World War II. Manga, apart from covers, is usually published in black and white but it is common to find introductions to chapters to be in color and is read from top to bottom and then right to left, similar to the layout of a Japanese plain text.
Anime and manga share many characteristics, including large eyes and dramatically shaped speech bubbles, speed lines, and onomatopoeic, exclamatory typography…”

Chibi Coloring Books For Adults Teens & Tweens
Chibi means small and/or miniature in a good or cute way. This word, along with kawaii and several other Japanese words, have been taken by America’s “Wapanese” who have gone overboard in accentuating their English speech with Japanese words. “Chibi” was probably first introduced to the West through anime, and probably from the name of Sailor Chibimoon, in Sailor Moon.
