If you like to take some coloring wherever you go, coloring journals are a great option. Sometimes you sit down to journal and you can’t really think of what to write, but if you sit and put color to shapes on a page that often opens up the creative parts of our brain and relaxes us enough to be able to get in touch with our feelings and intentions for the now and the future.
Coloring Journals come in a few types, some have a few doodles or designs on each page, some have full pictures to color in on one page with either a journaling area or a calendar area on the other side, some have inspirational pieces to color while others have inspirational quotes with surrounding art. I have explored quite a few and of course have some favorites.
As you may know if you follow my social media, I have started using my large stash of art supplies in mixed media and with my Lifebook 2017 projects I am using this beautiful journal from Tyndale Publishing as my art journal.
I really adore this GORGEOUS Prayer and Coloring Journal from Tyndale! The cover is the first of it’s kind with a raised printed hardback that just invites you to journal and color. Each page is special with either a scripture, prayer or inspirational quote and beautiful images to color and meditate on as well.
Gratitude invites you to bring creative journaling and the calming act of coloring into your quiet time. The Tyndale’s Living Expressions collection helps guide your thoughts as you pray or meditate about concerns such as health, overcoming stress, personal relationships, and more. Gratitude gives you a way to celebrate and give thanks. Filled with over 100 designs to color, plenty of space for journaling and sketching. A sample page is below
